Between the mountains and the sea...
... lies a little Italian city, where I spend most of my evenings playing beach volleyball (the city is actually on the beach), which by the way is also the reason why I haven't updated my blog for so long. Because, to be honest, why spend time indoors when the weather is so great and the beach is waiting? So after my little hometown holiday, I'm back in Italy, where the men seem to get more and more assertive as the weather gets hotter. Going to the disco is becoming problematic...
My life is going at its daily routine, by comparison to most of you still rather irregular I guess. After long working days we go to the beach with a frisbee and a ball and have some fun. After that we find a restaurant (so far mostly the Chinese down the road or pizza, but we've had some seafood jewels now and then as well) and then we play cards, or watch movies or go to the disco. And from time to time some of us get in a car and risk our lives between the Italian drivers when we need to be in other cities for work. This is quite nice, cuz when there's some time left you get to see and taste (eat in :-) ) whichever neigbouring town is closest. I dropped by Dante's grave in Ravenna last week. All in all, my present is quite ok :-) Plans for the near future include sleeping a bit more and starting delta-planing lessons! (to be honest I'm quite exited about the latter) A collegue found a sports school 30min from here where you can get the lessons and the worldwide certification. We're planning to check it out soon.
Oh, more breaking news, yes, I've swam in the Adriatic sea for the first time in my life. About a week ago, yep, water's great!

For those of you who are just as unfamiliar (or probably more) with Belgium than with Italy, here are still some pictures of my little holiday last month:
In the town where I was born
A walk in the countryside
At a ball with my brother
Black dress, red carpet
Roof tatchers at work
