C'est la vie

C'est la vie
quand tu me demandes

qui je suis
et je te reponds

que c'est moi

que c'etais moi
deja toujours

Like me

You are wild
and free
like me

You are restless
when your wings are clipped you die
Because you were born to flie

You are boundless
when dammed you're trapped you know
Because you were born to flow

You are golden
and your value outlasts time
Because you were born to shine

You are sun
You are rain
You are laughter
You are pain
You are day
You are night
You are grounded
You take flight

To the horizon
To be free

Fog

Standing by the window he was thinking: ‘what if life stops now and the world stops turning?’ and ‘what if this damn fog would lift and we’d be able to see clearly once in a while?’ Because everything was foggy: the lawn, the pond the windowpanes and his mind.

Sometimes when things happen in your past they root themselves in your soul and you have to fight not to let your traumas dictate your present. Like when your daddy beats up your mummy and molests your sister and she can’t go to school because of the bruises on her face. And not just her face but that’s the only part of her you see when she’s hiding away in her grey grey uniform. Her uniform gets greyer every day and her face gets greyer and the bruises greener and you can feel her slip away into the fog. That same damn fog, the one that’s clouding your mind. And you want to fight but you can’t, because there’s too much fog in your mind and because your daddy is too big and strong and terrifying.

But then these are things you can not think about. They never happened because if they did your world would stop turning and maybe your life would end in the fog.

The fog was entering the room through the hole in the broken windowpane. The windowpane was broken because somebody had smashed their head right into it. A little boy, and he’d done it on purpose. Smashed his own head into the windowpane because… because… his world had just stopped turning.

(This story is for everybody who feels down today. Remember that there are always people who are much much worse off. That sometimes hurt and pain get passed down generation after generation. That things may escalate but in the end we are all just hurt souls trying to survive in a way. Remember that life is full of beautiful things as well, there are rosebuds and sparrows, the silence of the mountains in winter and the pink of the sky at sunset, even if in the city streets you can see only a strip of it, may it be a ribbon of hope. Fight to keep your heart pure and good because it is the most beautiful thing you have... and it is the beginning of a better world. This story is for everybody who is feeling down today, I am praying for you!)

Today is a good day!

Within the first half hour of today, already 4 of my favorite things had happened: I woke up to the sweet sound of rain tapping on the windowsill, I got a lovely message from my little sister, I opened the front door and there was a beautiful rainbow starting in the valley and ending just outside my garden hedge, and last but not least the sun came through. Wow, must be the start of a good day! Isn't every day though, if you find something or someone beautiful to make you happy in the morning...

Red wine and rain

Red wine and rain
Baby blow my mind
Summer turns to winter
And winter turns to summer
again

Baby turn back time
Baby lay me down
Baby feed me
Red wine and rain
All over again!
