Like Home (a song)

I lost count of the years I wandered on
Searching for gold in a swamp
It didn’t occur to me I might be wrong
And sometimes a king is a tramp

And when I first met you I wasn’t impressed
My worries had kept me obsessed
But as Grace would have it you weren’t the least
You cut down the thorns and you fought off the beast
You faced all my fears on your own
And now I call you my home

I lost count of all the nights I would weep
Restless till the break of dawn
Safe in your arms since, I haven’t lost sleep
The tears dried when you came along

And when I first met you I’d given up hope
Convinced that love was just a joke
But as Grace would have it you weren’t the least
You cut down the thorns and you fought off the beast
You faced all my ghosts on your own
And now I call you my home

A stór there’s no place like home

Miss me (a song text)

If the last thing I said to you was mean
I want you to know I didn't mean it
You're so human
You're so fragile
And you could die any day
Please don't walk away

Tell me do you miss me
In the kisses of the wind
Tell me do you miss me
In the caress of the sea
I know
Oh I know
That you weren't right for me
But I still want you
To miss me

If the last time I held you was in hurry
I want to hurry back to you
You're so silent
You're so brave
But you could die any day
So please don't walk away

Tell me do you miss me
In the kisses of the wind
Tell me do you miss me
In the caress of the sea
I know
Oh I know
That you weren't right for me
But I still want you
To miss me

If the last time I saw you I was angry
I'm angry with myself now
You're so strong
You're so true
And you could die any day
But I let you get away

Tell me do you miss me
In the kisses of the wind
Tell me do you miss me
In the caress of the sea
I know
Oh I know
That you weren't right for me
But I still want you
To miss me

Oh I know
That you weren't right for me
But I still want you
To miss me

Miss me
Miss me

Love, a description

Me, you
A shade of green
A shade of blue

Left, right
Another kiss
Another fight

In, out
A tire swing
A roundabout

Up, down
Another laugh
Another frown

High, low
A time to come
A time to go

You, me
Someone to love
Someone to be

Please exist...

I'd run a thousand miles
To hear You whisper in my ear
I just can't bear reality
Not knowing if You're here

My past seems like a muddled dream
The future makes no sense
And it's too painful for me here
Trapped in the present tense

Oh God what's going on with me
When will the nightmare stop
When are You coming back for me
When am I waking up?

I don't want to feel so alone
Don't want to shed another tear
Father God do please exist
I can't live if You're not near

In Memoriam

When the sadness and the missing
Have crowded out our brain
We just sit here in silence
And revel in our pain

Though the worst of our emotions
Are clinging tight to you
We still cannot die with you
So here's what we will do:

We'll build a palace in the sky
In which you can live on
And visit you in our dreams
Like you were never gone

We'll run aimless through the city
Day, night, sun and rain
And on every inch of wall
we'll graffiti your name

We'll shout in the middle of the field
Of your favorite soccer team
We'll shout so loud that you can hear us
Till there's no breath left to scream

We'll look through every photo album
Since the sunrise of your birth
And we'll tell to all who listens
How much you are worth

Sure like tears onto the ground
The memories will fall
But we'll frame them one by one
Forever on the wall...

A jewel of a Sky

A jewel of a sky
Crimson-blue
Midnight pride
Draws the line

Between what I can and cannot touch
Where I can and cannot go
What I can and cannot have

If only you knew
That the words run like a river

You can fish them from the sea
And if you catch me some

I will write you something

La Bella Addormentata

Sleeping Beauty
Turned to stone
Spread across the land
Rocky and alone

Lioness dormant
What did you do?
To anger the gods
So they turned against you

Mountain princess
Covered in snow
Breathing in silence?
How will we know...

Sleeping Beauty
Turned to stone
Till true loves first kiss
Rocky and alone

(This is a poem about a mountain range. The beautiful peaks of the Appenines, as they run through the Abruzzo region in Italy, resemble the contours of a reclining woman. Hence the name the locals give these mountains: 'La Bella Addormentata' or 'Sleeping Beauty'...)
